My new knee!

Well I am home after successful surgery to give me a new right knee. They let me out a day early for good behaviour...LOL

I have attached a picture of what my knee looks like internally.

I forgot to ask whether I will set off the metal detectors next time I take a flight somewhere...hehe
I am on crutches for the next six weeks with lots of walking and exercises to do at least 3 times a day!

Knee Operation

I often forget to publish this blog on a regular basis and from tomorrow I will have a good excuse. I am off to have a partial knee replacement operation. Should keep me out of mischief and offline for the next week then I have a few projects lined up to occupy me as I recover. So I should be back online this time next week. Have a good one:)

Detail of Heart

Here is a picture of one of the hearts up close. The background has been crackled using a Jo Sonja crackle medium...good result but takes time. Then yesterday I bought some Tim Holtz crackle paint...one-step and easy to use! The card that says "Lesley" was done using the Tim Holtz Crackle paint! It is also on a piece of Grungeboard that has been put through a texture plate on my Cuttlebug.

Valentine Heart ATC's

This is what I made with the pictures free from Lisa Volrath's site.

The idea was inspired by some ATC' a Dutch stamping friend, Nellie made.

Thanks Nellie.....and Happy Valentine's to everyone.

Monday

Well I have been a bit slack with my posts...we have not travelled anywhere so just a bit of art to share. My big news is a new computer with a 22" screen! WOW it is amazing and takes a bit of getting used to.

I made some background pieces by sponging on dye inks then spritzing to give that spotchy effect I really like. I then stamped a collage of letters over it or some other image to complete the background.
