Back on my feet!

Back on my feet again and fingers crossed no more set backs.
These cards were made over the last few days. One for my daughter Emily for her birthday...The letters and ladybirds cut out with the Cricut and SCAL. The 2 eggplant coloured ones were made after I had a large piece of cardstock stamped up with the swirls to make a wedding card, it was a mess so I started that again, but I hate to waste anything so cut up the swirls to use as backgrounds. The textured background was made using scraps of paper, covered in gesso then painted with acrylic paint, rubbed over with Adirondak Eggplant then Encore Purple

Still Immobile:(

My knee is still causing me grief and consequently I have had to cancel my plans for meeting Christie (an American Stamper) tomorrow but we will find another day before she goes home.
I have been creating again today.
First off a card to give Christie (made on the Cricut) then a couple using Outlines Rubberstamp images.

I am sitting today(got a sore knee..think I over did it yesterday, tut tut), so what better way to while away the day but to stamp! Here are 3 cards made with the same stamp.

Sunny Bunnys

The blue flower frame for this card was designed with SCAL. The image is by Penny Black.

cats

I was fossiking around in my drawer full of yellow/orange offcuts when I found this stamped image of a cats face. I then looked for more complimentary bits and this is what I came up with. The cats are not a punch but cutout using SCAL on the Cricut.

Ribbon cutout

Darn computers I am having trouble writing in my blog unless I go to the Html option rather than the compose option? Why me what did I do to deserve such treatment...ROFL...well not laughing very loudly at all actually...somewhat peeved and frustrated more to the point, but I will go to a forum and seek a solution as my guru suggests. Why am I not blessed with such a logical brain?Anyway here is the latest card I made using a circle of flowers I created using SCAL and cut out on the Cricut.

leftovers

Well I hate to be wasteful(my Scottish ancestory) so I used up bits and pieces from another project and added a bit here and there..Voila!
Speaking of not being wasteful and Scottish, I had a bunch of bananas getting very ripe so turned them into scones...they are disappearing at a rapid rate so I think I can pronounce them a success.

Ladybirds

I have been playing with SCAL and the Cricut again and also with some new 2 Scoops stamps.

Experiment with Sure Cuts a Lot

Yesterday I played with this software again and was so proud of myself. I managed to use a font (which I had downloaded ) then chose an image flipped it and welded it to make a little border! I even worked out how to make copies of the image after I had altered it! Found a "select all" option but have not made it work for me YET! Will get my "inhouse computer expert" on to this today! "Hi Mike" she says madly waving across the crowded room:)

It is a bit hard to see but I stuck the cut out onto paper I had sprayed with gold sprayweb, added some "bling" to the butterflies and stamped the background it is all mounted on.
