Freshly Made Sketches #226

It was pointed out to me yesterday by an Asian friend that I actually have the 'kanji' or script upside down. When I took a second look I could see this clearly. My humble apologies. I came home, pulled the card apart and have turned the 'kanji' up the right way. Here is the restructured card.
Boy am I having fun finding all these sites with challenges on them. Lots of interesting challenges to get the creative juices flowing. Some are complex some are like this one clean and simple from Freshly Made Sketches.
I had the background in my stash...think it is Distress inks blended then I gold embossed the stamp of Asian calligraphy in gold.  I found some nice washi paper to die cut the bird on the branch, a Marianne design die LR0137 and mat the stamped background. A scallop edge from MFT's Blueprints #8 finished the layout.
