Update on my birthday

Thank you so much to all my friends who have emailed and rung me with birthday wishes.
It has been a wonderful day, while Mike and I were having lunch at a restaurant down by the bay we saw 2 dolphins swim past about 30 metres off shore! How cool is that?

White and Silver Birthday card

I got this really cool white and silver birthday card from a talented Aussie Lady named Carol Jeffery. It has not scanned very well but the background is done with the "Cuttlebug, Happy Birthday" embossing design.

Only a little creative

Sunday fined up, more is the pity as we really need the rain. We went for a nice long bike ride as the temperature hit around 30C !

Monday saw me hibernate as the temperature got close to 37C and this is what I made.
These are small individual house magnets as requested by my mum:) There is actually some printed vellum in the triangle space of the second one.
I also made a couple of rows of houses but I am yet to scan them.

High School Reunion

Last night I went to my High School Reunion, it is 35 years since we finished and I was rather ambivalent about attending , in fact if my friend Sue had not rung and asked me to go I would have missed it. I am so pleased she rang, it was a great night reminising about the past and talking about what we have done with our lives. We had strategic exit plans but stayed until the staff were closing up and asked us all to move on...LOL Poor Mike I woke him up when I got home and bored him with my stories of people he does not know...LOL
Hooray hooray it is raining here this morning, I had big plans to get out and do some work in the garden too...what a shame...LOL I think I will get creative instead.

Another day another house...LOL

Well I think I have made enough houses for now(14Christmas ones)....maybe I will get back to them next week but my big mission for what's left of the week is to create a birthday card for my husband. The big day is friday and I will be out all of wednesday, that leaves thursday fingers crossed nothing crops up to interfere with the creative process. I received a heap of new stamps in the mail today, a birthday present for me:) From a dutch company Stampin Back www.stampinback.nl I got great service and they stamp up beautifully. I will put some pics up when I have had a chance to play with them. now to pack all the gear necessary for a stamping day and ATC night tomorrow. UGH it is always hard to know what to pack...bound to forget something!

Christmas Hangers

Hi , I have been having another creative day. After waking at 0430 and being unable to get back to sleep I got up at 0500 and made a prototype of my Christmas card for this year. NO I am not going to show you, it is a surprise....LOL
But I did also make a couple of Christmas Hangers that will make gifts for some relatives. They are on a house theme surprise, surprise....LOL They measure 9 x 17cm.
The funny gold lump on the top of the first one is actually an angel and the frame has been coated in Cloisonne embossing enamel "Emerald Onyx".

This is my latest creative effort, which involves paper craft and stamping.

Shadow Box

This is my most recent project a Shadow Box for my mum for Christmas.

The box is 23 x 23 cm and I have allocated a niche to each of her grand or great grandchildren.

My First Post

I am VERY excited it is nearly 0100 and I am posting my very first Blog....WOOHOO!!

I have had a webpage for over 10 years but have not updated it in the last 12 months so after having seen friends blogs thought this might be an easier option to share my artwork and travel tales with friends.

I have a lot to learn about how to publish a blog and after 3 tries think I will publish this before I fall asleep!
